Terms of Use

These terms cover the use of proviso-consulting.net. Using the site means accepting them. They are separate from the terms of any engagement, which are agreed in writing when work is instructed.

What the site is for

The site publishes general information about Thai law and describes what Proviso does. You may read it, print it, and use it to prepare a question. It is not legal advice and using the site does not make you a client. That is set out in full in our disclaimer.

The content belongs to Proviso

The articles, page text, layout, design and the Proviso name and logo are ours. You may quote a short passage in your own work provided you attribute it to Proviso and link to the page you took it from. You may not republish an article in whole or in substantial part, translate it, or present it as your own or your firm's work.

Statutory text quoted in an article is a different matter. Thai legislation is not our property and quoting the Act is not restricted by these terms.

If you want to reproduce something more fully, ask. Email info@proviso-consulting.net. We usually say yes.

No warranty on accuracy

Each article is checked against the primary legislation on the date shown as last reviewed, and every legal statement carries the Act and section behind it so you can verify it yourself. Beyond that, the site is provided as it is. We give no warranty that any page is complete, current or free from error, and we do not accept liability for loss arising from reliance on it.

Thai statutes are amended, ministerial regulations change, and administrative practice varies between offices. An article that was correct when it was reviewed can go out of date without anything on the page changing. Check the section for yourself before you act on it.

External links

Where we link out, it is usually to a government source or to legislation. We link because the source is useful, not because we endorse everything on the site it sits on. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data, and a link can break or point somewhere different over time. Their terms and privacy policies apply once you leave here.

The booking widget

The booking section of the homepage is a Calendly widget. Using it means using Calendly's service, on Calendly's terms, and Calendly receives the details you enter. What it collects and what happens to it is set out in our privacy notice. Booking a call is an enquiry. It is not an instruction to act and it does not create a lawyer-client relationship.

Availability

We do not promise the site will be available without interruption. Pages are added, revised and occasionally removed. Where an article is withdrawn rather than corrected, it is because we no longer stand behind it.

Changes to these terms

These terms can change. The current version is always the one on this page, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the version then in force.

Governing law

Proviso advises on Thai law and works in Thailand. These terms, and anything arising out of the use of this site, are governed by the law of Thailand.
